Detectives are still looking for the suspect who opened fire on two men inside a parked car in St. Albans on Sunday night and left one of the victims dead.
Officers from the 113th Precinct responded to a 911 call at 10:16 p.m. on Jan. 13 about shots fired in the area of 114th Drive and 196th Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, the cops discovered two bullet-ridden men inside of a white 2012 Audi Q5 SUV. One of the victims, a 33-year-old man, sat behind the wheel with gunshot wounds to his head and chest. The other victim, a 31-year-old man, was in the front passenger seat and had bullet wounds to his chest and legs.
Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the 33-year-old man dead at the location. Police withheld his identity, pending family notification.
EMTs took the 31-year-old man to Jamaica Hospital, where he was listed in critical but stable condition.
At this point in the investigation, police have not yet determined a possible motive for the shooting, or the description of the suspect(s) responsible.
No arrests have been made, and the probe continues.
