Police are searching for a man who is wanted in connection with an attempted robbery in Astoria last month.
Authorities say that an unidentified man approached a 39-year-old man just before 10 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, when he flashed a handgun and demanded cash. The victim claimed he had no cash, and the would-be robber fled the scene on foot, police said.
No shots were fired and nothing was stolen from the victim, who was not injured as a result of the incident, according to authorities.
