Two men crash through Ridgewood pizzeria’s storefront during dispute: NYPD

A 24-year-old man was caught on video pushing a Doordash delivery driver through the front glass window of Corato pizzeria in Ridgewood on the night of Sunday, Aug. 15, according to authorities.

Police officers from the 104th Precinct responded to a 911 call after the assault inside the restaurant located at 66-94 Fresh Pond Rd. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found the 57-year-old delivery driver, who complained of a dispute over a delivery with the suspect, who could be seen on video pushing him through a window.

The suspect, 24-year-old Sami Abdelaziz, was arrested and charged with assault and harassment.

The delivery driver suffered multiple lacerations and pain, according to police records. He was transferred to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries. 

Abdelaziz is not an employee of the restaurant, according to authorities.

Corato employees declined to comment on the incident.
