Flushing skirt creep

A creep is being sought for accosting a 14-year-old girl inside one of the six-story residential buildings in the vicinity of Franklin Avenue and Union Street in Flushing earlier this month, according to authorities.

Police from the 109th Precinct are looking for the man who followed the juvenile as she entered the lobby at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 8. The two got on the elevator at which time the suspect allegedly asked, “Are you a model? Can I take a picture?” and proceeded to take photos of her without permission, police said. He then proceeded to rub the young woman’s inner thigh and take up-skirt pictures of her, police said. The suspect then offered the girl $20 to spit on him.

The victim had enough and began shouting at the suspect and followed him out of the building. The youngster was not injured as a result of the incident, police said.

The NYPD on Aug. 26 released a surveillance video that shows the suspect in a stairwell.

Police say the alleged creep is between 50 and 60 years old, with a thin build and light complexion, goatee and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a yellow T-shirt with “Have a Nice Play” emblazoned across the chest, shorts, eyeglasses, white socks, black sneakers and a T-Mobile baseball cap. He was carrying a gray backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
