Two women got into an argument with a group of people in July while watching a movie inside the College Point Multiplex Cinema and were later beaten and robbed after the film ended, according to authorities.

Police from the 109th Precinct are looking for two men and two women who engaged in a verbal dispute with a 33-year-old woman and her friend, a 29-year-old woman, inside the theater. After the closing credits started to roll, the violence began as the group took turns punching and kicking the 33-year-old victim in her head. While she was being assaulted, one of the assailants grabbed her cellphone, police said.

The suspects then turned their attention to the second victim and began punching her in the face before running off in an unknown direction, according to authorities.

The first victim suffered “non-life-threatening head injuries,” police said, and was transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens for treatment. The second victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention at the scene.

The NYPD released surveillance images of the four suspects on Wednesday, Aug. 3. One of the men had dark shaggy hair and wore a black shirt, gray sweatpants and dark sneakers. The second man had brown bushy hair and wore a white T-shirt and white sweatpants.

One of the women had short dark hair and wore a black tank top and gray shorts with a white sweatshirt tied around her waist. The second woman wore eyeglasses, a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans shorts and sandals.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
