Police are investigating a shooting at an Elmhurst nightclub that left one man dead and a woman injured early Saturday morning, according to authorities.

Police received a call regarding a shooting at Amadeus Nightclub, located at 79-51 Albion Ave. in Elmhurst, at approximately 4 a.m. on Jan. 21.

Upon their arrival, officers from the 110th Precinct found a 19-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his back and shoulder, according to authorities. Additionally, officers found that a 31-year-old woman had been shot in the rear end.

EMS arrived at the scene and transported both shooting victims to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, where the man was pronounced dead. The woman is listed in stable condition.

A preliminary investigation determined that there was a dispute inside of the location between the victims and the unidentified shooter. A police spokesperson could not comment on what the dispute was about when contacted by QNS early Saturday morning.

Additionally, the spokesperson could not confirm if the victims knew each other prior to entering the night club or if they entered together, or if the victims knew the shooter.

The dispute continued outside the location, where the shooter discharged a firearm multiple times, striking the victims, police said.

The shooter fled the scene in a black and white SUV in an unknown direction.

There have been no arrests made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
