The Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins located at Fresh Pond Road between Eliot Avenue and Metropolitan Avenue in Ridgewood reopened to the public recently after closing its doors for six weeks for renovations and remodeling.
The location has been a part of the Ridgewood community since opening nearly 20 years ago.
“The Fresh Pond location has been a staple in the community since its opening in August 2003,” a Dunkin’ spokesperson said. “The franchise iss excited to serve the community again and showcase the latest and most updated equipment.”
The newly renovated store features a new on-tap beverage system for cold beverages, along with additional new ice cream flavors at Baskin-Robbins.
The store’s mobile pick-up station has also been enhanced to ease the order pick-up process, and self-serve order kiosks have been added to better serve guests.
Councilman Robert Holden, who attended the ribbon-cutting for the store’s reopening, said it benefits the neighborhood when companies like Dunkin’ invest in the community.
“Local businesses are the backbone of our neighborhoods and when companies like Dunkin’ invest in and renovate their locations, it creates a ripple effect that benefits everyone,” Holden said. “It’s always a great day when we have ribbon-cuttings in the district and we appreciate that Dunkin’ has reopened its doors for my constituents to enjoy.”
