Police from the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood are continuing their search for the two men who roughed up an L train rider in a mugging at the Myrtle Avenue and Wyckoff Avenue subway station earlier this month.

The 31-year-old victim was standing on the platform at around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, April 10, when the two assailants approached and proceeded to punch and kick him multiple times before they attempted to snatch his wallet and the man’s shoes before coming away empty-handed, police said.

The victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at a nearby hospital, according to authorities.

The NYPD on April 16 released video surveillance that shows the two men entering the station.

Both men are believed to be between the ages of 25 and 30 and are approximately 6 feet tall with medium builds. One suspect wore a red Washington Nationals baseball cap, blue jeans jacket and tan sneakers, while the other — who was seen clutching a bottle of booze — wore a black hooded winter jacket, black jeans and white sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
