Police from the 109th Precinct are searching for a a pair of crooks who allegedly posed as FBI agents and used a Taser to subdue a man and a woman before stealing their Mercedes Benz and more than $40,000 in loot during a home invasion in Flushing on Sunday.

Authorities say that the two victims — a 25-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman — were returning to their home near Main Street and Elder Avenue at approximately 7:30 a.m. on July 16 when they were approached by two men in black Porsche Cayenne who identified themselves as FBI agents and displayed firearms in their waistbands. A police spokesperson told QNS the two men are believed to have followed the victims to their home. The spokesperson could not confirm if or how the victims were related.

The imposter FBI agents proceeded to use a Taser to subdue and then tie up the victims, police said. The crooks then snatched approximately $20,000 in cash, $20,000 in cryptocurrency, a Rolex watch, a Hermes bag, a Chanel bag, a wallet and a cellphone. One of the suspects then drove off in the victims’ 2019 Mercedes Benz GT50, while the other fled in the Porsche.
