Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar will host a public safety town hall featuring NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban and top brass from the NYPD on Wednesday.
The public safety town hall will be held at the Woodhaven Manor, located at 96-01 Jamaica Ave. in Woodhaven, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Joining the recently appointed police commissioner are Chief of Department Jeffrey Maddrey, Chief of Patrol John Chell and NYPD First Deputy Commissioner Tania Kinsella.
Assistant Chief Christine Bastednbeck, the commanding officer of NYPD Patrol Borough Queens North, and Assistant Chief Kevin Williams, the commanding officer of NYPD Patrol Borough Queens South, will also be in attendance.
Finishing the roster of NYPD brass includes Capt. Jeremy Kivlin, commanding officer of the 102nd Precinct, Deputy Inspector Kevin Coleman, commanding officer of the 104th Precinct, and Deputy Inspector Jerome Bacchi, commanding officer of the 106th Precinct.
“When I ran for office, I knocked on every door in my district and listened to every voice. The number one concern of the people was public safety. As Assemblywoman, I am bringing all NYPD top brass to the district for a public safety town hall of a magnitude never seen before in this district,” said Rajkumar. “I am proud to deliver results for the people of my district, bringing the resources to South Queens that we need so we are no longer a forgotten corner of the City.”
The town hall is expected to cover the proliferation of illegal smoke shops, the Richmond Hill shooting spree that left one dead and three injured in July, and hate crimes throughout the borough, according to the Rajkumar’s office. Over 250 community members will be in attendance.
Dinner will be provided and valet parking is available on site.
