A citywide real estate company distributed 400 free kosher turkeys to residents of one of their buildings in Kew Gardens Hills ahead of Thanksgiving.

Volunteers from A&E Real Estate set up tables outside their office at the The Opal building on Tuesday, Nov. 14, to distribute the turkeys to local residents as a way to kick off the holiday season.

“It’s our pleasure to make celebrating Thanksgiving a little easier by distributing turkeys to our neighbors and to residents at The Opal and Kew Gardens Hills,” said Maggie McCormick, president of A&E Real Estate. “We want to thank our A&E volunteers and all community members for coming out and getting into the holiday spirit.”

State Assemblymember Sam Berger, who represents and lives in the area, also participated in the event.
