Senator Comrie teams up with A&E Real Estate for backpack giveaway in St. Albans

State Senator Leroy Comrie partnered with A&E Real Estate to host a free backpack giveaway outside his office on Farmers Boulevard in St. Albans Aug. 29. The giveaway came just as kids were preparing to go back to school.

Each backpack handed out contained notebooks, pens and pencils. A&E Real Estate provided 100 backpacks for Comrie’s office to distribute among the kids and families at the event.

“At a time when everything has gotten more and more expensive, I’m so delighted we could help families get their kids ready for the new school year with free backpacks and school supplies,” Comrie said. “And I’m grateful to A&E for the donations that made this event possible.”
