State Senator Leroy Comrie partnered with A&E Real Estate to host a free backpack giveaway outside his office on Farmers Boulevard in St. Albans Aug. 29. The giveaway came just as kids were preparing to go back to school.
Each backpack handed out contained notebooks, pens and pencils. A&E Real Estate provided 100 backpacks for Comrie’s office to distribute among the kids and families at the event.
“At a time when everything has gotten more and more expensive, I’m so delighted we could help families get their kids ready for the new school year with free backpacks and school supplies,” Comrie said. “And I’m grateful to A&E for the donations that made this event possible.”
Founded in 2011 to invest in multi-family properties in the New York City Metropolitan area, A&E Real Estate’s primary focus is on workforce housing. In addition to owning more than 15,000 apartments, A&E performs direct asset management, property management and construction management for its entire portfolio, with a belief that no third-party manager will bring the same degree of focus and attention to detail.
“State Senator Comrie’s team got out the word and brought an amazing turnout to this event! I’m glad that A&E could be there with donated backpacks and school supplies to help kids feel excited and confident for their first day of school,” A&E Real Estate President Maggie McCormick said.
A&E Real Estate is committed towards providing a high level of service to its residents, reflecting the philosophy that both owner and resident have a mutual long-term interest in preserving the city’s multi-family residential stock.
