The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating after a man was caught on camera shouting anti-immigrant rhetoric at a group of men, including a 14-year-old girl in Bayside, on the night of Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Police from the 111th Precinct in Bayside reported that the suspect approached the three men — ages 19, 24, and 43 — and the youngster in front of the 7-Eleven store at 41-00 Bell Blvd. at around 11:30 p.m. and began to follow them along the commercial corridor while shouting racial slurs at them. The perpetrator reportedly railed against Spanish people and told them to go home.

“Donald Trump is going to send you back to your country,” and “Trump is going to deport all of you now,” police said Friday, adding that the four victims are Queens residents. The suspect fled the location on foot in an unknown direction. No injuries were reported during the incident.

The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect on Friday that shows him shouting at the group. He wore a white T-shirt, blue jeans, and work boots and has several tattoos on his arms.

Anyone with information regarding this harassment investigation is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or, for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at crimestoppers.nypdonline.org or on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter) @NYPDTips. All calls and messages are kept confidential.

Through Nov. 3, the 111th Precinct has reported seven hate crimes so far in 2024, not counting the latest incident on Bell Boulevard, which is six more than the one hate crime case reported at the same point last year, an increase of 600%, according to the most recent CompStat report.
