Police from the 108th Precinct in Long Island City and Transit District 20 are looking for a creep who allegedly groped a woman inside the Court Square-23rd Street subway station on the morning of Sunday, March 1.
Police say the 37-year-old victim was on the escalator just before 7:40 a.m. when a stranger stepped in front of her. The suspect then turned around and wrapped his arms around her body and grabbed her private areas, police said, adding that he ran out of the station and was last seen fleeing on Jackson Avenue in an unknown direction.
EMS responded to the station and treated the victim at the scene.
The NYPD released a surveillance image of the suspect on Monday and described him as having a medium complexion with short dark hair with a beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, baggy blue jeans and brown sneakers.
A reward of up to $3,500 is being offered for information that leads to his arrest and indictment.
