Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a Sunnyside woman at gunpoint.

Detectives are seeking the public’s help in finding a male suspect caught on camera following a Sunnyside woman into an apartment and later robbing her at gunpoint.

On Nov. 21, the perpetrator followed the 25-year-old victim into the lobby of her apartment at 47th Avenue and 39th Place at 4:49 a.m. The suspect —who police described as a Hispanic man wearing a dark-gray hooded sweatshirt over a light-colored shirt, dark-colored pants and black sneakers — displayed a gun and demanded the victim’s purse.

Authorities said the crook fled with the purse, which contained $60 in cash and a bank card. The victim was not injured, and the incident was reported to the 108th Precinct.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
