Robber Sentenced

A Brooklyn man, who sodomized and robbed a Sunnyside woman, was handed a 35-year sentence by the Queens Supreme Court last week.
In March 2001, Terrance Litt, 63, entered a real estate office on 41st Street in Sunnyside, forcibly, at knife point, sodomized a 22-year-old female employee, and robbed her of her watch, according to trial testimony. Witnesses helped the police apprehend the suspect in the bathroom of a nearby fast food restaurant, where they recovered the knife used in the attack.
During the attack, Litt broke the woman’s nose and gave her bruises and scrapes all over her body, and two good Samaritans helped the victim afterward.
Litt was found guilty of sodomy, robbery, burglary, aggravated sexual abuse, sexual abuse, assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal possession of stolen property.
“The defendant was convicted of a brazen armed robbery in broad daylight during which he viciously sexually assaulted a young woman at knife point. The sentence imposed by the court more than fits the crime,” said Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.
