Flushing manufacturer eyes China market

Attempting to garner industrial investment in the Xiangcheng Industrial District in Suzhou, China, Crystal Windows and Door Systems, a Flushing-based manufacturing firm hosted a business forum on behalf of three visiting officials from the picturesque canal city, known as the &#8220Venice of Asia.”
Rated one of the Top Ten Business Regions in China, Suzhou is located 40 miles northwest of Shanghai in the Jiangsu Province. The city's modern transportation system, including many major highways, airports, and the port of Shanghai itself, coupled with &#8220business friendly” government policies have resulted in an industrial production value increase of 50 percent annually for the past 5 years.
Crystal Window and Door System's overseas subsidiary, Crystal Global is a new tenant in the final stages of a modest production facility in the Xiangcheng Industrial Park complex which will serve the needs of Chinese building companies.
Crystal management offered the 30, by-invitation-only businesses at its forum, its services as an international &#8220business ambassador” for any firms, especially those in the building products field, seeking to establish production and distribution facilities in China or the United States.
Among the attendees of the forum held on Monday, August 7 was State Senator Toby Stavisky who honored the three visiting dignitaries from China with an official certificate. New York Assemblymember, Jimmy Meng hosted a private dinner in Flushing with the Chinese officials after the meeting.

Attendees to the forum received promotional materials on the development area and had the opportunity to hear from the leader of the delegation, Mr. Yingdong Zha, Commissioner of the Suzhou, Xiangcheng Economic Development Area Administration Committee.
