On Thursday, November 30 at 3:30 p.m., Woodside Library presents Hidden Kingdoms: VTC from the New York Hall of Science. School-age children will explore some of the smallest living things as they look through microscopes and visit the exhibits in this &#8220virtual field trip to the NY Hall of Science, Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. On Thursday, November 30 at 4 p.m., Kew Gardens Hills Library presents Chirp, Stomp, Hiss! How Animals Talk. Rattle like a snake, stomp like a bison and whoop like a gibbon during this session on sounds made by animals. Do their voices alone make these sounds? How do these sounds help them survive in the wild? Children ages 3 to 6 find out with help from the Queens Zoo staff. Pre-registration. The Queens Zoo explains to children ages 6-9 as they play the &#8220to eat or not to eat” game and explore how colors like orange and yellow help an animal to survive. On Thursday, November 30 at 4 p.m., Middle Village Library presents The Monkey King: &#8220Stealing the Heavenly Peaches.” Children ages 6-14 and families enjoy action, puppetry, and acrobatics of Chinese Opera in &#8220Stealing the Heavenly Peaches,” one of Monkey's more colorful exploits which led to his expulsion from the Heavenly Court.
