113th Precinct

On Saturday, July 21, in the vicinity of 122nd Avenue and Sutphin Boulevard, two officers on foot patrol came upon an altercation between two armed male perps.
The officers approached the two when one of the suspects fired. The cops returned fire before tackling the shooter, Troy Smith, 17, and placing him under arrest. He has been charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a firearm. The second male fled. There were no reported injuries from the gunfire. A loaded 32-caliber revolver was recovered at the scene.
