Jennifer Wirth

Vice President of Niche Publications for Schneps Communications

Schneps Communications welcomed Jennifer Wirth as their new Vice President of Niche Publications in early October. Wirth will oversee Schneps’ niche publications including Healthwise magazine, Queens Business Today, North Shore Towers Courier, and Queensborough magazine. In addition, she will be in charge of launching a new magazine for Schneps Communications.
In her new position, Wirth will aim to bridge the gap between Queens and Long Island. She hopes to bring Schneps publications to Nassau and Suffolk Counties. “I want to bring them to a whole new demographic,” Wirth said.
Wirth joins the Schneps Communications’ family from Newsday, where she worked for nearly three years. Wirth served as the Local Retail Advertisement Sales Manager where she put programs together to help promote small and midsize businesses in Nassau and Western Suffolk Counties.
As the Classifieds Director for Long Island Business News, she launched new products including Homes of Distinction and Drive Time, an automotive supplement. She also collaborated with LongIsland.com to form an employment section. “I built a team that wasn’t there before and launched an entire classified department,” Wirth said.
She first entered media as the network sales assistant for WCBS TV and went on to produce educational television for Teen Court TV, a division of Court TV that shows teens how the judicial system works.
Wirth has worked in media for nearly 16 years. She graduated from State University of New York, Cortland with a degree in Communications.
