Alpha Care Supply, LLC, mobility and accessibility specialists for 16 years, is a family-owned business providing durable medical equipment with an emphasis on safety and ease-of-use.
An “anchor for access solutions” in the region, including Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland counties, Alpha Care provides services to both individual and corporate clients, according to Philip Walker, who, with his father Don, owns and operates the business.
The business partnership specializes in various types of access applications: modular ramps, portable ramps, ramp systems, stair lifts, vehicle lifts for mobility equipment and vertical, porch wheelchair lifts, Walker noted.
“In-depth residential and facility evaluations are offered on a no-obligation basis,” he said. “Our primary emphasis is placed on safety and ease-of-use by end users and/or caregivers.”
Clients include residential users, institutions, houses of worship, event planners, schools, universities, and real estate management companies, among others. Rental equipment is available to educational facilities that require access products for short-term needs such as commencement exercises, concerts, fundraising-benefit events, or for a student with a temporary injury.
“As a well-stocked supplier of access ramp systems, emergency needs can be resolved in short turn-around times,” Walker said. “Generally, the access equipment can be either purchased or rented.”
He noted that used equipment, depending upon availability, is offered at reduced prices. To meet budgetary concerns, finance plans are considered.
An additional service provided by Alpha Care, a Medicare provider, is negotiation with insurance carriers, health management companies and other funding agencies.
Alpha Care is a licensed and insured installer as well.
Other mobility and accessibility products include: scooters, power wheelchairs, lift chairs, patient handling systems, manual wheelchairs, transport wheelchairs, and bathroom aids.
