A South Ozone Park nursing home employee must have been really thirsty.
The 32-year-old woman, Audra R. Harrington, is alleged to have stolen the identity — and more than $11,000 — from the family of a resident at the nursing home where she worked as a patient coordinator.
Harrington allegedly tapped into the Chase bank accounts of Arthur Greenberg, 85, to pay her Poland Spring bills, totaling nearly $300, on three separate occasions between September 9, 2005 and July 30 of last year. She also paid for cable TV and various credit cards.
Harrington allegedly also used the cash to pay the bills of her co-defendant, Patricia Wilkinson, 42, of Jamaica.
According to court documents, the victim’s son, Ira Greenberg, noticed the theft.
Both women have been charged with grand larceny in the third degree and identity theft in the second degree.
Harrington was released without bail. Her next court date is set for April 16.
