    The exhibition “Five Women Artists in New York” will be on display through June 29. In it, “five women bravely take to the street to formulate their own unique visions of the metropolis.”
    The Jeb Patton Trio will perform at 8 p.m. on Friday, June 6. Patton, a pianist, will be performing songs off of his “A Lovesome Thing” CD. He will be joined by bassist David Wong and drummer Peter Van Nostrand.
    The Queens Jazz Trail will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 7. It takes people on a tour of houses in Queens where jazz legends such as Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and John Coltrane lived.

    “Carnegie Hall: Hypnotic Brass Ensemble” will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 5 at the Langston Hughes Library. The eight-member group performs “original compositions that mix rocking, hip-hop flavored funk with stirring spiritual jazz.” The Langston Hughes Library is located at 100-01 Northern Boulevard in Corona and can be reached at 718-651-1100.
    “Mexican Music and Dance: Ra’ces de M/xico” will be held at the Woodhaven Library at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 7. The event will feature the New York-based dance company “Ra’ces de M/xico!” Their performance will highlight different regions of Mexico while showing dance from the Aztec times to present day. The Woodhaven Library is located at 85-41 Forest Parkway. Its number is 718-849-1010.
    “The Power of the Proverb: Yiddish Folk-Sayings and Imagery” will be held at the Flushing Library at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 15. It will feature Queens College Associate Professor of Yiddish Chava Lapin. Located at 41-17 Main Street, the Flushing Library can be reached at 718-661-1200.
    On Monday, June 23 at 6 p.m., “Andean Pipe Music from Peru with the Ethereal and Haunting Melodies of Grupo Wayno” will take place at the Broadway Library, which is located at 40-20 Broadway in Long Island City. The group was formed in 1989. The Broadway Library can be reached by calling 718-721-2462.
    Cabaret singer and actress Diana Templeton will perform “Kiss the Boys Goodbye” at the North Hills Library at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25. The show will feature the songs and memories of the 1940s. The North Hills Library is located at 57-04 Marathon Parkway in Little Neck. Its number is 718-225-3550.

    The exhibition “Diego Medina Rosas: JCAL 2007-2008 Workspace Artist” will be on display through July 14. Rosas performed a residency at JCAL during the 2008 fiscal year. Along with being a part of several group exhibitions, Rosas has had solo exhibitions at the Queens Museum of Art, P.S. 122, Galer’a de Arte Contemporano, Museo de las Artes, and Galer’a Nina Menocal.

    “The Real Pepsi Challenge: Breaking the Color Barrier in American Business” will be on display through July 27. The exhibition is based on the book “The Real Pepsi Challenge: The Inspirational Story of Breaking the Color Barrier in American Business,” which was written by Stephanie Capparell. Pepsi began integrating around 1940. The exhibit “showcases the plight of one of the first African-Americans to hold professional corporate jobs in this country.”
