With residents throughout the borough facing difficult economic times, the Queens Chamber of Commerce, LaGuardia Community College’s Small Business Development Center and the Queens Library are hosting a series of financial literacy workshops.
Dozens of residents attended the first seminar at LaGuardia Community College learning about important steps they can take to survive the bleak financial times.
The next seminar will take place on November 3 at the Corona Branch Library with a focus on paving the road to home ownership. Then, on November 10, they will host a seminar centered on setting a foundation for entrepreneurship.
