Before many New Yorkers have consumed their morning cup of java, savvy professionals looking to enhance their career prospects can now earn an M.B.A. on their way to the office, thanks to Adelphi University’s amMBA program.
Beginning this fall, Adelphi will offer graduate business courses from 7 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. once a week at its Manhattan Center, before expanding its course offerings based on student need and market demand, said Assistant Dean of Adelphi School of Business Brian Rothschild.
The morning-only course format allows workers to gain valuable skills and expand their professional networks with minimal interference to their busy routines. Adelphi University School of Business, which is one of less than 10 percent of business schools worldwide to hold AACSB accreditation, is the only university in the New York metropolitan area to offer a morning-only MBA program.
“The amMBA program is designed to enrich your knowledge base without disrupting your work schedule,” said Rakesh Gupta, interim dean of Adelphi University School of Business. “Sitting in an MBA class is another opportunity for networking with peers in other firms and industries, which may be hiring.”
Adelphi University School of Business, with programs in Garden City and Manhattan, offers quality business programs for full-time and part-time undergraduates, as well as part-time graduate students. The School prepares students to function as ethical and socially responsible leaders with a global perspective, through the emphasis both theoretical and practical knowledge, ensuring that students gain expertise in analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
With its close proximity to Manhattan’s financial district and easy commute to midtown, the amMBA program at Adelphi’s Manhattan Center is ideal for professionals who wish to sharpen their skills and prove their value to their companies, said Rothschild.
“In the current economy, you cannot have too many skills,” he said. “The more skills you have, the more value you add to your employers.”
Tuition for the amMBA program is $850 per credit. Course credit may be awarded for prior business credits earned, depending on an individual’s qualifications.
