Restaurant week continues through October 15

Queens residents are encouraged to head out and taste the culinary diversity of their borough as Restaurant Week continues.

With upwards of 80 restaurants participating in the sixth annual event, patrons have the opportunity to dine from special menus at a prix-fixe price of $25. Some restaurants are offering the savings on dinners, others on lunch and some on both.

Sponsored by Discover Queens and the Queens Economic Development Corporation, the event features a wide range of options, reflecting the cultural reach of Queens at large.

“Our cultural diversity gives Queens a leg up,” said Michelle Stoddart, a spokesperson for the Queens Economic Development Corporation. “You can dine around the world in Queens.”

Though dining around the world sounds expensive, the special prices afford families the opportunity to enjoy their borough without overpaying.

“I think people will use this opportunity to get out,” said Stoddart. “Other times prices might be higher, so this will get people out.”

Restaurant week continues through October 15. Those interested should go to www.discoverqueens.info/dq for a list of participating restaurants.
