Cupcake Contessas has tasty last minute gifts

With flavorful fillings from cream cheese buttercream to strawberry and Nutella centers, delectable desserts from Cupcake Contessas are a hit this holiday season and throughout the year.
“Our mission is to put a smile on every customer’s face,” said Francine Azzariti, co-owner of Cupcake Contessas.
Located at 78 Hillside Avenue in Williston Park, the gourmet dessert shop takes pride in selling no ordinary cupcake – but specialty-filled ones. The shop offers over 25 different varieties of cupcake flavors ranging from “Holy Cannoli” (vanilla cupcake with a cannoli cream center capped with a chocolate ganache) to “Mr. O” (chocolate cupcake with a cream cheese and Oreo center topped with cream cheese buttercream). Best-selling flavors are carrot cake and red velvet, in addition to Mr. O, with each treat just $2.50 each.
Azzariti said every cupcake is filled with anything one can imagine. Fillings include marshmallow, peanut butter, caramel, and raspberry. She also added that the shop gives everyone the ability to buy “NYC trendy desserts without the commute into Manhattan or the struggle of getting the treats home on the train.”
“We set ourselves apart from our competition because we use old fashioned scratch-baking,” Azzariti said. “Our cupcakes are not mass produced – they are baked in small batches.”
When asked what sets Cupcake Contessas apart from competitors, Azzariti said each customer gets the individual attention and quality product one deserves. She also said the diversified backgrounds and experience of the owners also bring value to the customers.
“The owners are three women who not only have a passion for baking but bring to the table a wealth of business and personal experience,” she said.
Azzariti, who co-owns the shop with Laura Andreacchi and Rosie Bikales, said they all have their own unique skill sets and have had the experience of raising families, so they all fully understand “the needs of all customers, whether young or old, whether working or being stay-at-home moms and dads.” She said all owners bring together business knowledge with life experience to help people “cherish the special moments in their life through the happiness cupcakes bring.”
In addition to retail customers, the shop services many corporate customers including major banks, hotel chains and medical institutions. Cupcake Contessas also provides catering and special-occasion products such as wedding cupcake tower cakes, Sweet-16 and Bar Mitzvah flavors, and birthday celebrations decorated to meet each customer’s specific needs.
Beginning January 1, 2011, Cupcake Contessas will be offering their winter office party special – if you buy two-dozen cupcakes, you get a “box of Joe” free.
