OSIA in Howard Beach/Ozone Park seeks members

The newly-formed Lodge of the Order Sons of Italy in America (OSIA) in the Howard Beach/Ozone Park areas has installed its President and Vice President and is seeking other board members. A membership drive is currently in progress.
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, February 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Our Lady of Grace Convent (rear entrance) – 158th Avenue and 101st Street.
While this new lodge will meet in Howard Beach, membership is not limited to Howard Beach but is open to residents in the surrounding communities, including, but not limited to, Ozone Park, South Ozone Park, Richmond Hill, Woodhaven, Hamilton Beach and the Rockaways.
If you are interested in preserving your Italian heritage and culture and promoting a positive image of Italians and Italian-Americans, join OSIA. The lodge is planning many projects to enhance the preservation of the members’ Italian heritage, and raise funds for contribution to worthy charities. Plans also include entertaining programs and refreshments at meetings.
OSIA is the oldest and largest organization of Italian and Italian-Americans in the country. It was founded on June 22, 1905 to unite men and women of Italian heritage under one banner.
