ERICH J. NEUMANN of Schuylkill Haven, Pa., formerly of Ridgewood andWoodhaven, died on Monday, January 9, at Orwigsburg Manor at the age of 91. Born in Berlin on October 31, 1920, he was the son of the late Julius and Ida Neumann.

Erich emigrated to the United States with his family in January 1959. He worked as a machinist in the aircraft industry.

Erich was an member of Original Enzian. He enjoyed gardening and photography along with collecting coins and stamps.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by son-in-law Kenneth Klepsch and grandson-in-law Willy Nunley.

Erich is survived by his wife of 59 years, Liseolotte (nee Riedl), along with his children, Gunter and Cathy of Glendale; Brigitte Klepsch of Schuylkill Haven; and Annette and Greg Windsor of Demascus, Md. He was the beloved opa to grandchildren Stephanie, companion of Charlie; Eric, husband of Lauren; Douglas, fiancé of Brigitte; and Gary, Stefan, Markus and Andreas and greatgrandsons Austin and John.

A wake will be held on Friday, January 13, from 3 to 6 p.m. at George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale. Another viewing will be held on Saturday, January 14, from 10 a.m. until noon at Grabowski Funeral Home, 75 Memorial Drive, Schuylkill Haven, Pa., followed by a funeral services at Grabowski Funeral Home at noon and interment thereafter at the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park.

ELIZABETH CARRANO died on Monday, January 9, at the age of 83. She was the beloved mother of Jeanette Damaduk and Liz Wilson, mother-in-law of John and Dan, cherished grandmother of Jeffrey, Kristopher, Daniel, Jillian and the late John Joseph, dear sister of Michael Fiorino, sister-in-law of Dolores and loving aunt of Lynn Fiorino and Michele Hale. Services will be offered today, Thursday, January 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 GrandAve., Maspeth, followed by interment at St. John Cemetery, Middle Village.

PHYLLIS LEGAULT of Glendale died on Tuesday, January 3, at the age of 82. A native of Brooklyn, she was the wife of the late Edmund J. Legault and devoted mother of Denise Heaton and Karen Perry. She is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Matthias Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I., under the direction of George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Ave., Glendale.

GHEORGHE NADRAG of West Orange, N.J., died on Sunday, December 25, 2011, at the age of 81. A native of Bucharest, Romania, he was the beloved husband of Ioana and devoted father of Maria Nadrag. He is also survived by one grandchild. Services were offered at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood, by Rev. Viorel Dimitrescu, followed by interment at All Faiths Cemetery, Middle Village.

IZABELLA GRIGORYAN of Ridgewood died on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at the age of 58. A native of Baku, Russia, she was the dear sister of Karen Grigoryan and Aleksandr Grigoryan. Services were offered at Morton Funeral Home/Ridgewood Chapels, 663 Grandview Ave., Ridgewood, followed by interment at Linden Hill Cemetery, Ridgewood.

WOLFGANG SCHLICHTER, the retired owner of Schlichter Electric Inc. for 30 years, died on Saturday, January 7, at the age of 68. He was the beloved husband of Paula, devoted father of Robert and dear brother of Wrner, Margarete Koch and Elizabeth Dockhorn. He was also a member of the Lessing Masonic Lodge #608. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church, Ridgewood, followed by interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, L.I., under the direction of Hess-Miller Funeral Home, 64-19 Metropolitan Ave., Middle Village.

WILLIAM SULLIVAN died on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at the age of 76. He was the beloved father of Kim Tirado and Pamela Sullivan, father-in-law of Ben and cherished grandfather of Matthew and Brett. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Wednesday, January 4, at St. Stanislaus Church, Maspeth, followed by interment at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Maspeth, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

ARTHUR DIZINNO died on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the age of 60. He was the beloved brother of Valerie Kelly and Helen Belsky. A private cremation was held on Wednesday, January 4, at Fresh Pond Crematory, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

GIUSEPPA STROCCHIA died on Tuesday, January 3, at the age of 90. She was the wife of the late Aniello and loving mother of Franco, Vittorio, Joseph, Antonio, Lucia and the late Pasquale and Vincenzo. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Saturday, January 7, at St. Francis de Paola Church, Brooklyn, followed by entombment at St. John Cemetery Ave Maria Garden Mausoleum, Middle Village, under the direction of Papavero Funeral Home, 72-27 Grand Ave., Maspeth.

LUIS CORTEZ died on Friday, December 30, 2011, at the age of 64. He was the beloved husband of Gloria Herrera, loving father of Jocely, Hally and Luigi, cherished son of Claudina and dear brother of Jose. PAUL CATTAN died on Monday, January 2, at the age of 91. He was the beloved husband of Teresa Cattan, loving father of Simon Cattan and Paul Cattan, father-in-law of Amira and Rosa, cherished grandfather of Lisa Marie, Paul, Michael and Steven and dear brother of Rose and Peter Tavano. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. PIOTR GARWARSKI of Ridgewood died on Thursday, January 5, at the age of 20. A native of Ostroleka, Poland, he was the loving son of Ryszard Garwarski and Malgorzata Garwarska and dear brother of Violeta Kozacki and Palwel Garwarski. ANTHONY L. PANARIELLO of Brooklyn died on Friday, January 6, at the age of 82. A native of Brooklyn, he was the husband of the late Mary and devoted father of Anthony Panariello and Anna Tiscione. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
