Employees at the Sunnyside branch of GameStop got a tough dose of reality Thursday.
Around 11 a.m., a man entered the 47-21 Queens Blvd store allegedly carrying a silver firearm covered by a newspaper, police said. The perpetrator then displayed the weapon to an employee and went around the back of the counter to steal property and cash.
The man failed to obtain anything and then fled the video-game store on foot.
The police describe the man as white, around 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds.
