PM Pediatrics, an award-winning provider of after-hours pediatric urgent care, has announced the launch of its new Pediatric Urgent Care Fellowship Program. The one year program includes supervised clinical training at all PM Pediatrics sites, as well as rotations in orthopedics, plastic surgery, dermatology, adolescent medicine, ENT, ophthalmology, toxicology, emergency medical services and radiology.
Dr. Wendy Graae has been appointed fellowship director for PM Pediatrics, overseeing all aspects of the program. She completed a Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center and served as the PEM fellowship director at New York Medical College from 1995 to 1998. Graae joined PM Pediatrics in 2006 and has worked as an urgent care physician at the Mamaroneck, NY site.
“We believe that there is a crucial need for a fellowship of this sort, which is designed to bridge some gaps in residency training and better prepare pediatricians for the broad range of cases typically seen in an urgent care practice,” said Dr. Jeffrey Schor, owner of PM Pediatrics. “Dr. Graae already plays an important role in the success of PM Pediatrics, both clinically and as a passionate educator to our other physicians, to our patients and to the medical community. She will be the perfect leader for this endeavor.”
