Using its portable, digital equipment, Multi-Diagnostics has performed more than 150,000 mammograms in over 10 states.
Multi-Diagnostics Services brings its state-of-the-art digital equipment to Fortune 500 companies, elected official’s offices, churches, senior centers and health fairs in order to provide convenient and private screenings for patients.
Its mobile units are only staffed by females—from the nurse practitioner who performs the breast exams and provides educational information to the technologist to the driver of the bus.
“When we go to corporations, we eliminate the loss of work productivity for the company and save the patients time,” said administrator Donna Donato. “We can do an exam every 10 minutes, so if an employee schedules an appointment for 10:15 a.m. they can be screened and back at their desk by 10:30 a.m.”
In addition to its mobile services, Multi-Diagnostics Services also performs ultrasounds, bone densitometry and x-rays on-site at its Jamaica office open seven days a week.
While screenings are offered to both insured and uninsured, many patients of Multi-Diagnostics Services are uninsured and screened through the New York State Department of Health Cancer Screening Program.
