Cops searching for suspect in Flushing store thefts

Police are looking for a man suspected in a string of thefts at Flushing stores this month, the NYPD said.

The suspect stole a wallet at a cabinet store on 33rd Avenue on the afternoon of Jan. 2, and another wallet, containing $3,000 in cash, at a beauty salon on Union Street the following morning, police said.

On Jan. 14, he allegedly stole a purse containing two iPhones from a Sanford Avenue store, according to cops. He then allegedly took another iPhone from a telecommunications store at 136-84 Roosevelt Ave. the next day.

Police have released a photo from the Jan. 15 theft. The suspect is described as approximately 30 years old and medium build with brown hair and brown eyes.  He was last seen wearing a black hat, black sneakers, blue jeans, and a black and gray North Face backpack.
