Glendale Business to be Featured on NBC’s George to the Rescue

George to the Rescue

The popular NBC television show “George to the Rescue” will feature Queens’ own Tiles Unlimited for two episodes airing on September 26 and October 17.

The home renovation series stars contractor, George Oliphant and his team of workers and volunteers, as they renovate the homes of deserving families. For five years, George and his team have traveled across the Tri-state area helping families in need.

This season, Tiles Unlimited, one of the largest local tile businesses based in Glendale, joins the team.

The episodes will highlight the stories of the Twibles (airing September 26) and the Sherwoods (airing October 17), two Long Island families in need of some renovation relief at home. Tiles Unlimited joins the rescue team to lighten the load of these families in some of the most spectacular ways.

“The renovations are second to why we do what we do,” said Andrew Serbo, Supervising Producer. “This show is based on the families, their story.” Tiles Unlimited joins the team to help these families who are both dealing with someone with health issues.

Tiles Unlimited donated a combined 956 square feet of tile and instillation materials to both families, “Working with the Tiles Unlimited team was a true pleasure. They wanted to help these families and stepped forward without question,” Serbo said. “Their work didn’t end with the delivery, they shared their knowledge and joined in the celebrations on reveal day. We look forward to working with them in the future.”
