The driver of a car that struck and killed a 46-year-old man on a Corona street last week remains at large, police said.

On Nov. 4 at approximately 11:31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call at 104th Street and 41st Avenue in Corona. Upon arrival, they found a 46-year-old man, who was unconscious and unresponsive, lying on the crosswalk.

He had severe head and body trauma, according to police. The man, who has not been identified pending family notification, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation found that a dark-colored SUV made a left turn from southbound 104th Street to eastbound 41st Avenue when he hit the pedestrian. The vehicle then fled the scene.

The NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad is continuing the investigation.
