A self-serve bandit removed merchandise and uniforms from a closed Woodside gas station during a burglary early on Thursday morning, law enforcement sources said.
Police released a security camera image of the suspect who broke into the BP station located at the corner of Queens Boulevard and 65th Place at 2:40 a.m. on Jan. 5. The station’s pump area is closed off for repairs.
According to authorities, the crook — described as a man in his 50s — broke through the front door of the station, then removed an unknown quantity of merchandise as well as BP clothing. He then fled the scene on foot.
The burglary was reported to the 108th Precinct.
