Cops on the hunt for man who assaulted two women in two different Queens subway stations

Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a man who allegedly attacked two women and ran on two separate occasions at subway stations in Ozone Park and Jamaica.

The first incident took place on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 9:20 a.m. inside of the 88th Street “A” subway station in Ozone Park. An individual approached an 18-year-old woman and made anti-ethnic remarks at her. Following the remarks, the individual punched the woman in the face and took off in an unknown direction out of the station.

The second incident took place on Thursday, Jan. 5, at approximately 12:32 p.m. inside of the Hillside Avenue “F” subway station. The individual approached a 30-year-old woman and offered to swipe her into the station in exchange for money. When the woman declined, the individual responded with an anti-ethnic remark and then punched the woman in the back of the head.

The victim fell to the ground and hit her head as the individual took off out of the station in an unknown direction. EMS responded and treated the victim at the scene.

The individual has been identified as 28-year-old Sherlock Arana. He stands 6 feet tall, weighs 200 pounds and has vitiligo, a skin condition on his face. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket, blue jeans and boots.
