The two men who held up a Jamaica cellphone store at gunpoint earlier this week have been connected to a pair of similar heists in Queens earlier this year, police said.

According to law enforcement sources, the crooks visited the Sprint Store located at 178-10 Hillside Ave. at 5:35 p.m. on Aug. 9.

Authorities said one of the suspects displayed a firearm while his partner removed a Galaxy S7 and 44 iPhones, which he placed in a bag. The pair the fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Officers from the 107th Precinct responded to the incident; there were no reported injuries. The NYPD later released security camera footage of the two suspects.

During the investigation, police determined that the pair are responsible for two other cellphone store heists in south Queens that occurred earlier this summer. One was the stickup at a Metro PCS store located at 110-32 Farmers Blvd. on July 2 and the other was the armed robbery of a Metro PCS store located at 188-08 Jamaica Ave. on July 22.

Anyone with information regarding the suspects’ whereabouts is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS, visit their website or send a text message to 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577. All calls and messages are kept confidential.
