Police arrested a man who fled the scene of an accident after running a red light and crashing his car into another vehicle at the Glendale/Forest Hills border.
On Jan. 11, Jovante Fleemont was driving down Woodhaven Boulevard when he ran a red light. After running the light, Fleemont struck another car near Metropolitan Avenue, causing his car to flip.
Following the crash, Fleemont fled the scene on foot. He was apprehended by police shortly afterwards near Woodhaven Boulevard and Metropolitan Avenue.
Fleemont was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of an accident, obstructing governmental administration, and unlawful possession of marijuana.
