Police have arrested a Corona man in connection to the death of a man who was found on an Elmhurst street with multiple stab wounds.
At 7:56 p.m. on Feb. 28, officers from the 110th Precinct were on patrol in the vicinity of 57th Avenue and 92nd Street when they heard a man yell out in distress and saw him fall to the ground.
When the officers went over to investigate, police said, they found 22-year-old Hakeem Griffin of 57th Avenue in Corona with stab wounds to the neck and torso.
EMS responded to the scene and transported Griffin to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Following an ongoing investigation, officers arrested 23-year-old Ronald Oneil of Horace Harding Expressway in Corona. He was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
