Police are investigating the death of a man who was found in the bathroom of a Flushing home late Tuesday night.
According to authorities, at 11:45 p.m. on Nov. 20, officers from the 109th Precinct responded to a 911 call regarding an aided male at a residence on Burling Street.
Law enforcement sources said police received the call after the man’s roommate and landlord made the gruesome discovery.
Upon their arrival, the officers found 26-year-old Xiaopeng Zhu in the bathroom of the home’s basement apartment, unconscious and unresponsive, with lacerations to his neck and left wrist.
EMS responded to the location and pronounced Zhu dead at the scene.
While police indicated that the death may be a suicide, the Medical Examiner will ultimately determine the cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
