The 109th Precinct was looking for a suspect who allegedly tried to rob a man at knifepoint on a Flushing street last week and then injured him during a struggle.
Law enforcement sources said the attempt took place Dec. 21 at 8 a.m. near the corner of Prince Street and Roosevelt Avenue.
According to police, a 36-year-old man was overheard talking about how he had just been paid, cops said. The suspect then approached the man, displayed a knife and demanded money.
Authorities said the assailant then grabbed the bag belonging to the man, resulting into a physical struggle with the victim. During the scuffle, police said the victim sustained a cut to his shoulder. The would-be thief then fled the scene on foot southbound along Prince Street, according to authorities.
No belongings were taken from the victim, cops said.
The victim was taken to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens hospital in stable condition. He was treated for the laceration and later released.
No arrests have been made and the investigation was ongoing, according to police.
