The 104th Precinct is on the lookout for a man who allegedly broke into a home in Ridgewood earlier this month and left a woman he knew bloody and beaten.
According to NYPD, the female victim was not only familiar with Jose Padron, 30, but she also had an order of protection out against him.
At 4 a.m. on Jan. 19, authorities said, Padron allegedly beat down the front door of her apartment in the area of Cypress Avenue and Decatur Street, then attacked her.
Police said Padron allegedly began yelling at the woman and struck her in the face repeatedly, causing redness, pain and a bloody nose. She refused medical attention at the scene.
Law enforcement sources said the order of protection was filed against Padron prior to him allegedly attacking the victim. It was issued in relation to a Dec. 17, 2018 domestic violence case, for which Padron was scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 28.
The top charge in the Dec. 17 arrest was assault with intent to cause physical harm as well as criminal obstruction of breathing, among other charges.
The 104th Precinct published Padron’s photo in a Jan. 22 post to its Twitter account. They requested that anyone with information regarding Padron’s whereabouts contact the 104th Precinct Detective Squad at 718-386-2723.
