A Flushing man who allegedly slashed another individual after getting into an argument with him at a neighborhood deli was arrested on Monday, according to police.
Milton Melgar, 35, of 41st Avenue was taken into custody following questioning at the 109th Precinct’s stationhouse, located at 37-05 Union St., at approximately 4:20 p.m. on Jan. 21, police said.
Law enforcement sources said that Melgar allegedly sliced the 44-year-old man’s wrist with a box cutter on Jan. 13 at the Corner Stop Deli located at 149-01 41st Ave.
Melgar was charged with assault, police said.
The 109th Precinct took to social media on Tuesday and thanked the public for sharing or retweeting the post of Melgar.
