Charles Everett, the general manager of JFK Airport, welcomes Tony Vero, the new deputy general manager of the airport, to the JFK aviation community.
Vero was previously the deputy general manager of LaGuardia Airport
Everett, who had been interim general manager, is now the general manager and also serves as the deputy aviation director of the Port Authority.
They were together to kick off the General Managers monthly meeting at JFK, following the monthly Kaamco monthly meeting that represents all the airlines at the airport. Airlines and their business partners such as ground handlers, air cargo and airport community convene the second Wednesday each month to share the news of airport operations that affect all the shareholders.
According to the opening remarks of the new management, Everett said safety is one of the priorities of his airport administration for 2019 as Vero commented that he is excited to make valuable contributions to JFK airport.
