A man was robbed at knifepoint inside a Woodside 7 train station early Tuesday morning.
Police from the 108th Precinct in Long Island City and Transit District 20 are looking for two men who approached the 24-year-old man who was waiting on the Flushing-bound platform just before 3 a.m. on May 31, inside the 52nd Street station above Roosevelt Avenue.
One of the perpetrators whipped out a knife and forcibly removed the victim’s backpack, police said. The victim refused medical attention at the scene and it was unclear what was in the backpack.
The NYPD released surveillance images of the assailants Wednesday. One wore a gray and white striped polo shirt, black sweatpants and white sneakers. He had a muscular build and dark hair with a slight beard on his chin. The second suspect wore a dark hooded jacket with white lettering along the sleeves and dark sweatpants. He was clutching a light-colored tote bag.
Anyone with information in regard to the identity of the suspects is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 888-57-PISTA (74782).
