The NYPD is asking for the public’s help with identifying an individual wanted in connection with an assault that took place on a northbound R train at the Jackson Avenue and Queens Boulevard subway station on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
At approximately 12:15 a.m., within the confines of the 108th Precinct, an unidentified man threw an unknown object at the 50-year-old male victim while aboard the R train. As they exited the train, the victim followed the man to the mezzanine level where the man began punching the victim in the face.
The male also struck the victim with a wet floor sign, resulting in minor cuts and swelling to the face and lips. The man fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst in stable condition.
The assailant is described as a man in his 50s with a medium complexion who is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a turquoise T-shirt, light colored jeans and black sneakers.
