Police from the 104th Precinct are searching for a suspect who broke into a Maspeth pharmacy store last week and stole thousands of dollars worth of prescription drugs.

Authorities say that the unidentified suspect broke into Grand Avenue Pharmacy, located at 69-29 Grand Ave., on Thursday, July 27.

The culprit barged into the local pharmacy at approximately 5 a.m. and entered by breaking the front glass window, police said, adding that $3,850 dollars worth of various bottles of prescription medication was stolen, including Xanax, Oxycodone, and Percocet.

The 104th Precinct shared photos of the perpetrator through security footage from inside the pharmacy on a Twitter post.

Councilman Robert Holden, who serves the neighborhoods of Glendale, Maspeth, Middle Village, Ridgewood, Woodhaven and Woodside, visited Grand Avenue Pharmacy and spoke with the owner about the incident.

Holden also took the chance to recognize the much-needed work from law enforcement to eliminate businesses being burglarized.

QNS reached out to the store owner for comment and is waiting for a response.
