A Ridgewood woman was allegedly kidnapped from her home and sexually abused by a homeless man on Monday morning after he had engaged in a physical altercation with her husband.

Police from the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood responded to a 911 call of an abduction just after 8 a.m. in the vicinity of Onderdonk Avenue and 69th Avenue where officers were informed that a 30-year-old undomiciled man entered an apartment and forcibly removed a 30-year-old woman from her apartment and sped away from the crime scene in a white sedan.

Dannis Vega, 30, who is undomiciled, was taken into custody about two hours later a few blocks away from the victim’s apartment, and the woman was found safe and not injured. An NYPD spokesman could provide no further details on how the arrest was made nor how the woman was rescued.

Vega was booked at the 104th Precinct in Ridgewood just before 10:30 a.m., where he was charged with kidnapping, sexual abuse, assault, and endangering the welfare of a child. He was also charged with burglary for entering her apartment and grand larceny for stealing her cell phone, police said.

The investigation remains ongoing.

Shocking new details emerged after Vega was arraigned on Wednesday morning in Queens Criminal Court. He is accused of entering the apartment through a bathroom window, punching the husband in the face, and heading to the bedroom, where he dragged the victim from her bed, according to the criminal complaint. Vega allegedly pushed the woman into his vehicle and drove a few blocks away, where he parked and pulled out a knife, cut himself on his arm, and said, “It’s your fault. I’m doing this because you broke up with me,” according to the criminal complaint. He then subjected the victim to sexual abuse by violating her with his fingers after she told him not to. She suffered bruises to her arms and legs and substantial pain, according to the complaint.
