Construction has wrapped for The Lionheart, an 8-story transitional housing complex in Rego Park.

Located at 92-62 Queens Blvd., the Lionheart stands 83 feet tall and spans 57,407 square feet. The building features 88 affordable rental units, each averaging 798 square feet. A portion of these units will be designated for individuals with mobility, hearing, or vision impairments.

In addition to the rental units, the property also has community space. This includes a cellar level, a 591-square-foot daycare center, and a 30-foot-long rear yard containing a basketball court and a children’s playground. Additionally, windows on the southern side of the building provide a great view of the rear yard.

A 3,600-square-foot mural can be seen at the eastern lot line wall of the Lionheart. The mural, titled “Queens Pride,” features two lions. It was created by Sonny Sundancer of WXLLSPACE.

The Lionheart is situated between Eliot Avenue and 62nd Avenue. It is within close proximity to the Woodhaven Boulevard subway station, which services the F, M and R trains.

Aufgang Architects designed the Lionheart, while Slate Property Group developed it. A 1-story residential building previously occupied the lot where the Lionheart now sits.
